Warm Guard Windows · North East & Yorkshire

Energy-efficient glass for a warmer home.

Older double glazing can lose heat even when the frames still look sound. Warm Guard Windows helps you compare modern sealed glass units and decide whether a glass-only upgrade is suitable for your home.

We cover North East England and Yorkshire. Start with a free energy efficiency test, then receive a quote explaining the glass specification and any additional work.

How the glass works together

Low-E inner glass

A low-emissivity coating helps reduce heat transfer through the glass and reflects room heat back indoors. The coating forms part of the sealed unit; it is not a film applied to your existing window.

Argon-filled double glazing

Argon fills the gap between the panes. It improves insulation compared with an equivalent air-filled unit. The panes, gap and edge seal are supplied together as a new sealed unit.

Warm-edge spacers

The spacer keeps the panes apart around the edge. A warm-edge design reduces heat transfer at this perimeter compared with a conventional metal spacer.

Low-iron outer glass

Low-iron glass offers a clearer appearance with less green tint. It is a different feature from Low-E glass; we explain whether it is part of your proposed specification.

Can you keep your existing frames?

If the frames are suitable, glass-only replacement lets you retain them. We check the frame condition, glazing dimensions, gaskets and seals. Handles, hinges, resealing and frame cleaning are included where agreed in your quote.

If the frames also need replacing, explore our replacement windows. We explain both routes so you can choose the work your home needs.

Comfort, condensation and noise

Results depend on your existing glazing, the new specification and the condition of the whole window. Room ventilation and humidity also affect condensation. For traffic or outside noise, ask about specialist acoustic glass; argon and Low-E coatings alone do not mean a window is soundproof.

What happens at your energy efficiency test?

Tell us which rooms feel cold, whether any units are misted and what you hope to improve. We assess your existing glazing and explain suitable options. Your quote confirms the proposed work and product specification, without promising a fixed saving on energy bills.
